Streamer Mode
Streamer Mode hides sensitive data across your Lumio dashboard — platform IDs, email addresses, credential hints, and account identifiers are replaced with a blurred overlay. This keeps private information off-screen while you show your dashboard on a live stream.
Where to find it
There are three ways to toggle Streamer Mode:
- Header icon — The Shield icon next to the notification bell in the top-right corner of the dashboard. One click toggles it on or off. The icon highlights when active.
- Settings page — Go to Dashboard > Settings and find the Streamer Mode section at the top. Use the On/Off toggle.
- Popout settings — In any popout window (chat, events, music), open the gear icon to find the Streamer Mode toggle inside the settings panel.
The setting syncs across all your browser tabs and devices — it is stored on your account, not just locally.
What gets blurred
When Streamer Mode is active, the following data is replaced with a blurred overlay:
| Location | Data hidden |
|---|---|
| Connections | Platform channel IDs (Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Trovo) |
| Credentials | Client ID hints, Client ID and Client Secret input fields in the setup wizard |
| Bot connections | Bot username |
| StreamElements | Token hints and token input field |
| Profile | Email address, platform provider account IDs |
| Accounts | Account IDs, provider account IDs in login assignments |
| User info modal | Platform user IDs (in chat and event panels) |
Public information like channel names, display names, and avatars remains visible — only identifiers and secrets are blurred.
Revealing individual fields
Each blurred field has an Eye icon next to it. Click the icon to temporarily reveal that specific value (the icon switches to EyeOff). Click again to re-blur it. Revealing a field does not turn off Streamer Mode — only that one field becomes visible.
Permissions
Streamer Mode is a personal user preference — no RBAC permission is required. Every user can toggle it on their own account regardless of their role.
Tips
- Toggle it before going live. The Shield icon in the header is the fastest way — one click, no page navigation needed.
- Popout windows follow automatically. If you toggle Streamer Mode in the main dashboard, all open popout windows (chat, events, music) update immediately via cross-tab sync.
- Credential setup is safe. The setup wizard for app credentials and bot connections masks input fields when Streamer Mode is active, so you can enter Client IDs and Secrets on stream without exposing them.
- Revealing is per-field. You can temporarily reveal one ID without exposing everything else. The Eye toggle only affects the field you click.
